Theyve been confirmed for ages, the new trailers look brill, the co-op level looked intense.

Well maybe I'm slightly biased, but it looks rather good.

It looks about what I expected it to be. Very visceral and on a huge scale.

But wtf was that thing at 1:35 driving into the armco? :P

A bomb disposal unit? Looks something like that, may be replacing BC2's UAV

It looks nice but honestly it doesn't really look any better than Crysis did, and that came out what 3 and a half years ago?

I'm pretty much of the belief that graphics have gotten as good as they're going to get, the only reason we get stuff that doesn't look like this is because everything is developed cross platform for consoles and as such doesn't look nearly as good as it could.

Anyway the gameplay does look pretty wonderful. I may end up buying this.

Errr, they showed the PS3 version (at least on the co-op), so I'm not sure that's a good way to show off the graphics...

So. Much. Dakka.

Might preorder on Origin sometime soon, Limited Edition is only 400 kr (52,77 Euro).

Will be a nice testing ground for my new (as of yet unbought) computer.

Yeah, some sort of EOD bot. There's a nice fact sheet here that lists nearly all of the features and equipment that'll be in the game. Of note, listed amongst the soldier equipment is the M18 smoke grenade (coloured flares) and the SOFLAM (laser painter). Looks like there might be some nice co-ordinated warfare between ground and air. :P

This looks pretty epic and requires tremendous team play. My biggest worry is weather we would see many players mature enough to have team play in mind. (At least on public servers)

Now this thing is rather annoying. No in-game server browser for PC :(

While the next installment in the hit Battlefield series will allow console players to seek out new games from within the game itself, PC users will be required to exit the game, find a new server with an Internet browser, and then restart it.

That is some retarded shit -_-.

*cancels pre-order*

I'll wait for them to either change it to the way it's always been, of if not, for some reviews before I buy it.

It's not ideal, but it's tolerable. I have some experience with it in the Alpha but I'll wait for a more concrete impression when the beta comes around.

Dice is thinking about mod tools later on after hearing the cries from the community.

“We have heard the community very loud and clear on this topic — that they want mod tools. We are considering it, back in the studio. The game won’t ship with mod tools, but we have heard it. I’m not saying that we’re going to do it, I’m saying that we are thinking about it.”

Good enough, BF2 first got them after a year I heard.

http://blogs.battlefield.ea.com/

Battleblog 9 is all about vehicles.

-Around 20 vehicles in 12 classes, 80 upgrades/"vehicle-perk"
-Return of "vehicle-perk"; 1 secondary weapon slot, 1 gadget slot, 1 upgrade slot
-Jets may equip fire extinguishers; not sure how would that work out >.>
-New vehicle combat system; vehicle disabling, armor recovery, manual repair

I still suggest everyone to visit the site, I just listed what I thought of as main points with not-that-adequate description. What intrigues me is the disabling system, where your vehicle cannot move but can still fire its weapons, and like BF2, would have some amount of time for manual repair before finally exploding, and that with sufficient repair, it goes back to the action.

A lot of damage in aerial combat, and aviation in general, is in fact not caused by shrapnel and shockwaves directly, but by internal fires. Fire extinguishers prevent that. Ingame they probably just repair the aircraft a bit.

How else are they going to repair mid-air :xD:. The server browser thing is still a big let down for me. I pre-ordered this on Origin 2 days before seeing the server browser news item.
