After years of development and countless setbacks, the long awaited Tiberian Sun Rising mod has finally seen its first public play session ever! On the 14-15th of August those lucky enough to visit the Freeplay Independant Games Festival in Australia, Melbourne, got the first public hands-on of Tiberian Sun Rising multiplayer!
With the reveal of the entire GDI as a fully finished and playable faction, the first public release of this high-quality mod is closer than ever. Setting itself apart from other Tiberium Wars based mods by using advanced player feedback systems, hand crafted environment styles and combining the power of xml, LUA and maps for the most thought out and well-rounded gameplay experience SAGE can offer, TSR is amongst the most professionally developed CNC mods.

C&C3 ain't StarCraft 2 remember :P In other words, yes, it can be played via lan.
Also, good this mod is still alive. Together with the TD remake and Tiberium Essence, these are my favourite TW mods 8|

Sorry to go off topic, but can you seriously not play SC2 via LAN?

Once you're in a game it will act as if it was a LAN connection if you're all on the same connection though, since it's all P2P (As are all the other games).

Blame the usage of Battle.net for that.
