In this thread, you try to start a discussion that might be continued by someone else. For example:

Guy: Imagine if Fallout had this.
Girl: Did you hear that shockwave was released?
Otherguy: Yeah, I did.
OtherOther"guy": Will you marry me
Otherguy: ROTR released!
Girl: YAY
Guy: What is LOL?
Other guy: ROTR is the best

And so on.

This is NOT the LPTP wins thread, this is cleaner.
