You'd think if it hadn't rained in a while you would be a bit more pre-cautious?
Well i was driving through in intersection to day when an old guy come out from the turning lane, nailed it and put his car 45 degrees facing the kerb. As you can imagine 10 tons of truck doesn't stop very quickly and wet oily roads and the car came off second best and no one sustained injuries fortunately.

Yep just more proof old people shouldn't be driving.

I wont even bother fixing that.

So...you had the right of way, or am I missing something here?

Edit: Shouldn't it be "Truck > Car"?

What ever is the symbol for greater than is.
Well according to the fucked up Australian law technically i am at fault for rear ending him even though he pulled out in front of me and loosing control and stopping in the lane i was in.

So he had a red light whilst you had a green? How fast were you traveling and what is the posted limit?

Technically, a driver is to remain in complete control of their vehicle at all times. This speaks namely against the Commodore driver, but to a lesser extent, it speaks against you, because you should have anticipated the other driver's intent and slowed down.

This is Australia. A 'truck' is always at least this size if not bigger.

For the extreme example, have one of the six trailer trucks they use for coal.

Yeah its called a road train 8|
An Australian built Mack truck with 112 semi-trailers, 1,300 t (2,865,980 pounds) and 1,474.3 metres (4,836 ft 11 in) long currently holds the world record for being the longest road train ever pulled with a single prime mover. Its good fun trying to over take a B-triple (33.5m long) when its moving at 100km/hr

Not all mines have a train station directly on site. I believe those six trailer ones are only used for very short distances. Freight trains go to most places here, although B-Doubles and B-Triples (two or three trailer) semitrailers are used for a lot of long distance hauling too.

Australia has the world's largest (8|) trucks, so yeah. 8|

If they invented the train they wouldn't have built Highway One and instead built Railway One 8|

Yeah you have to go really far out to find a "Powertrain" as in going to the Northern Territory. They mostly like Alias said go short distances usually moving things from site to the nearest train depo.

A is a B-double.

B is a B-triple.

C is a double road train. A "Pocket road train" is similar, but with shorter trailers and dolly drawbar.

D is an AB-triple.

E is a BAB Quad.

F is an ABB Quad.

G is triple road train.

H is a 2AB Quad.

K represents the largest road trains operating in Australia, and therefore, the world. Called a "Powertrain" or a "Body and six", these machines operate at The Granites Gold Mine in the western Northern Territory, and are used inplace of 200t dump trucks, because of the distances involved on the haul run. A 600 hp 19 litre Cummins engine powers the prime mover, whilst a 400 hp Cummins engine is installed in the rear trailer of the B-double, driving through an automatic transmission, giving a total of 1000 hp. Weights of 460 t (1,000,000 lb) are achieved with ore loading in side-tipper bodies on a 100 km round trip. As these trucks operate on private property, they are not subject to governed weight and length rulings, but instead are utilised in the most efficient way possible.
