Red Orchestra is shaping up to be a really interesting game, so i thought I'd make a thread about it with a few of the latest videos to get people up to date.
Trailer:
Gameplay mechanics:
I think the sniper scope is awesome, Tripwire are the kings of scopes
Anyway if anyone wants to know anymore about the game, the fact thread on the official forum is a good bet.

Wow, you weren't lying, that scope system is great. I especially like the fact you can switch to iron sights, that's just awesome .

Why did they went from a pretty much great 3d scope system into a "console"-ified system at which casual boon's can snipe shit at long ranges with ease?

Pretty sure I didn't see anything telling you how far away the enemy was.

I'm unsure what he meant by that as well. The scoping mechanic looks excellent.
The only things that bother me about this game so far are the movement animations and the rangy arms holding the weapons - this makes it look like every Medal of Honor game EA made on the Unreal Engine.
Call of Duty games have the first person view nailed.

But you have to dial in the range of how far you think it is, which isn't dumming it down because you could guess the range wrong, i can't see why that is making it easier at all, but it is making it more realistic.

i.e. making the game more playable
i don't see this system as being too boob friendly btw. it just makes it less annoying.

The Scope system looks pretty good to me. I have no idea however how this game plays so I can't really say if it is also good gameplay-wise.
The option to switch to your ironsights is pretty awesome though.
I wish they would have this in more games (*cough* CoD *cough*)
