So I reformatted my computer a few months ago. Unfortunately, I am running out of disk space and would like to clear some. Specifically, the useless backup I made to placate my digitally illiterate parents. That thing takes up five gigs of space and I never use it. But every time I try to delete it, it tells me that access is forbidden.

I deleted as much as it will allow me, and I tired removing the read-only attribute on the offending items, all with the same status. How do I get rid of this annoying piece of shit?

I am going to suppose you're using windows 7, so just download this: http://www.blogsdna.com/wp-content/uploads...keownership.zip ... extract it, run the REG file ... you'll get a new button in the right click menu called take ownership ... so wherever those folders are just right click them then click on take ownership and then delete them...

Uhm, then it's not a matter of permissions or ownership... try a software called Unlocker, it helps delete such files...
