Hey folks

this is an M1A2 Abrams tank that i made long ago for a Codname: Panzers mod i had planed in mind, unfortinatly, the project canceld and i decided to realise this tank to the public use ;)

The good thing is that i UV mapped it
The bad thing is that i modified the turret so the UV map gone throu the toilet with that hehe
So now its half UVmapped, just need to map the turret :P

If you gona use it in your mods dont forget to give credit :drunk:

AAAAAAAAA!!! Can someone pleeeease fix it up (bone + skin it) for me! Its perfect for my mod and is the best model I've seen for that unit. If someone could please make it Generals-ready for me??? :P

try to optimize it for generals too since right now it's way to high polly for gen :P

Greetz,

Ok saw the model and liked the design, but agreed way to high on poly weight for gen's and someone asked for it to be preped for gen's usage, so had a spare hour to tinker with it.

The model was nice in design but heavy with issues, Originally weighted in at over 2180 polys, now a slim 769 polys), this 700 plus is due to trying to maintain the original creators design in the unit..

Anyway's the Readme's update with all the models rigging, textures, and animation code block for insertion in your ini..:P There's an included W3D for previewing and instant plopping by just changing a vanilla gen's model ='s line...It does include SMOKE01-04 thou if you also wanted to plop it in the damage states as well.

I'm having fun tooling around with the skin for the Abrams. :P
I realy need to learn how to UV map for myself, either with Wings 3D or Gmax. Any tutorials that aren't realy confusing? :???:

I think the easy'st way to learn how to UVmap is through 3dsmax
Its very simple and easy, the main feture in this is its boring as hell hehe thats why people dont like it :P

very nice the only thing i would suggest adding to that one is making the lines on the sides and top of the chassis better vissable
