Crysis 2 has been "pirated out" 49 days before release.

SHIT SON.
Though on that Facepunch thread, the guy noted the leak came with CryEditor3, which elicits some respect for Crytek from me as unlike DICE they're still willing to make a proper PC game with mod tools.

I bed to differ, Xbox leaks have a tendency of being easier to spread, since most PC users will just mount the ISO on their hard drive, install it, then delete the ISO, while Xbox gamers must burn the image on a DVD, meaning that as soon as they'll finish the game they can pass the DVD to a friend

It has editor and dedicated server files, and even LAN support. So the retail version is predestined to be cracked.
But this is in no way the PC-Players, or the Pirates fault.
Crytek should have been more careful. Now they have to live with it. Its just unfair to let the PC players pay for it.

I'll wait for an official demo before I make my final decision.

No. In case you havent knew, the Xbox versions of some multiplatform games got leaked way before the PC versions. Xbox and PC games are more or less equally easy to leak and spread around, whether you like it or not (not that it actually matters)
