The problem is the price, over some 41€/l

It says "light" on it. That automatically makes it completely disgusting :/ .

Started drinking this stuff since I moved to Plymouth.
That stuff looks like it will make you go for a lot of snakeses :/ .

You are only truly a fan on Rattler if you've seen a bottle of it with this snake on, I'm afraid.

The new one looks like this:
Posted Image

It got changed about a year ago when the body that regulates alcohol advertisement in the UK deemed the snake too alluring to younger children (too similar to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the complain I believe). I miss the snake :(

Thats fucking ridiculous. I've heard Rattlers praises from yourself and as I have become somewhat of a cider nut, I quite want to try it. Nowhere seems to sell it here though.

Real men drink booze with snakes in the alcohol, not on the label.

Try The Square Peg. If you haven't been there already it's the whetherspoons pub opposite the Oasis Market in city centre, has a rather long bar in there. It's not the nicest pub in the world, but I'm sure they stock Rattlers. (It's been a while though so I may be mistaking it for Brothers, I seem to be getting the two mixed up a lot lately.)

And yes, I'm with Ion; after the start of last term I'm done with Strongbow for life. It's a horrible cider spawned from hell.
Using it in snakebite on the other hand is perfectly acceptible...

EDIT: Alias, the only time I've had to drink warm beer was at either Glastonbury or Reading festival, and this was because the Sun was inescapable. Even warm beer in those conditions is a god send.

Warm beer is anything higher than about 2-4 degrees. Straight out of the fridge/esky or not at all. :/

Exactly. I never understood what Brits see in their warm beers to be honest :/ . In fact I tend to drink quite fast so as to avoid it warming up too much.

Exactly. If you can hold the bottle for more than two minutes its too warm. It should be numbing your hand or its not cold enough. :/

Excuse me but when you're in a feild for 5 days, no shade, just a tent and a crate of beer, and £4 a pint from any stand as well as a huge queue to get the beer, you'd take warm beer over no beer.

And I'd take a Long Island over a beer.

Call me a girl but a couple of these at this local place with some buddies with a guy plugging away at a piano as everybody sings along? It's a good time!

I'm going to slap the both of you for 1). liking Coors, and 2). liking a lig.....*gag*....I can't even say light beer............ugh.

Now, if I'm going to enjoy a beer, I prefer something from Samuel Adams (I need to try the Noble Pills), though I will also entertain a pint of Guinness, Heineken, or the local brewery varieties, such as Yuengling and Troegs.

Now, as far as alcohol goes, I am a huge fan of rum. However, not just any rum will slake my thirst for the sugar derived drink though. Captain Morgan has nothing on Admiral Nelson's Spiced Rum (which is a fair bit cheaper), and neither of those gents can stand against Kraken Black Spiced Rum (my current favourite). Nothing like a good rum and coke to relax with.

Posted Image
Posted Image

Outside of rum, I have a rather limited taste for anything else. I do fancy Gin, though the only Gin I've had has been Tanqueray.

Posted Image

I've had a little Vodka, but Smirnoff isn't an advisable first, as it hits the tongue like turpentine. Actually, any Vodka that isn't made from potatoes is rubbish. It wasn't until I had Luksusowa, that I came 'round to liking Vodka. To be honest, it's the only Vodka I'll take straight.

Me too. Besides, special beers become less special if you keep downing them every day. A good lager never gets old D8 .
