The HighlanderBody Update used for trees allows them to be burned and toppled by certain damage types aside from the usual napalm and tank treads. Are there any parameters that dictate WHICH damage types are capable of making trees topple? Is it the tree's armorset? Or is it hardcoded?
I've learned that EXPLOSION so far has been one damage type that affects trees. I hope to expand this to AURORA_BOMB, ARMOR_PIERCING, INFANTRY_MISSILE, and so fourth to add to the realism of tree damage.

hardcoded. the only way to topple trees is by crushing them with vehicles, and using nuclear missile logic.
however, Beng's Shrubbery Fix Mod make the trees can be damaged by more weapons. just check that link for more info.

Hmm. It's still somewhat buggy considering that the trees cannot be toppled after they have been burned since that is what HighlanderBody does.
I found a moderately efficient solution though: NeutronMissilseSlowDeath
I used an ProjectileDetonationOCL'ed object using the module to create topping for any weapon I could fit it into.
