^Damn, never played the games but those are really good tracks =o .
Yeah, Amon Tobin is a great artist. The soundtrack is far more complete on the album than in the game - in the game it's only snippets. The album actually stands out enough as it's own creative work that it could've been released completely separately.

Some stuff from his albums:

If you're still keen, I've got more from where that came from.

Another one, yay for all of youse who know it:

Had to upload this HQ version myself as it wasn't on Youtube yet. Great little theme that :D . And such a fantastic game!

Considering it's not long now until Diablo 3, these bring back a lot of memories.

it's funny, i too own the music CD but not the game :P i did play it for a little while but really couldn't get into it. the music on the other hand...

also major thumbs up to knowing and liking his music, it's really quite under... known. although one could argue if that's a bad thing at all :)

Yeah - indeed. He has a very unique sound. I own all of his albums.

The Chaos Theory remixes are particularly good as well.

Main menu theme from Max Payne 1 & 2; beautiful, moving piece of music if you ask me.

Ah, and how could I forget this one, one of the best soundtracks of all time |8 .

Not particularly nostalgic, but I reckon this is the pick of the bunch out of the Mass Effect 3 soundtrack:

Maybe not that old, but c'mon, you can't have a video game music thread without Silent Hill

Quote

As long as the dark foundation of our nature, grim in its all-encompassing egoism, mad in its drive to make that egoism into reality, to devour everything and to define everything by itself, as long as that foundation is visible, as long as this truly original sin exists within us, we have no business here and there is no logical answer to our existence.
Imagine a group of people who are all blind, deaf and slightly demented and suddenly someone in the crowd asks, "What are we to do?"... The only possible answer is, "Look for a cure". Until you are cured, there is nothing you can do.
And since you don't believe you are sick, there can be no cure.
