I've just tried to render my tank model with a WIP texture and this appears:

The model is supposed to look like this (screenshot from perspective viewport)

Anyone encountered this problem before?

Just re-open the model and render then. For some reason, 3ds max doesn't update the materials when using dx9 or w3d shaders.

Tried that. Didn't work. It exports to W3d exactly like the first pic. Could it be a material setting?

Well, 3ds max can't render w3d or dx9 materials if there isn't a standard sub-material. Try setting up a separate material for rendering maybe?
