How does the logo on the Command Center work?

I want to create a logo for my new General's command center. But I can't seem to get it to work properly.

From what I have seen (from the original Models/Textures), there is 1 Model and 2 Textures (1 dds, 1 tga).
The end result is one texture in Housecolor, cut out by the other texture's alpha channel (or something like that)

My question is: How is this done? I think there are some settings in Material Manager for this, but I can't figure out how this works.

Can someone help me out?

Thanks in advance,
~Stalker

basically you just need to make the logo a separate model.
make the logo texture plain black-white with alpha layer for the cutout, save in dds/tga (both works).
on the 3dsmax, make a simple planar mesh positioned on the CC's pavement (where the logo placed). use the CC model as reference.
apply the logo texture to the mesh, use Alpha Test as the material's shader, then name the mesh HOUSECOLOR.
export to W3D.
put it on the CC by adding new DrawModule in the CC's object ini file.

It worked. Thank you!

Alpha Test was the missing key.

actually using Alpha Blend also works, but it blurs on the logo borders. Alpha Test is better for cutout (railings, wires, etc) while Alpha Blend is better for gradating alpha (lightbeam, scorchmarks, etc).

Strange ... I'm pretty sure I tried it with alpha blend and it didn't work.

Alpha Test is binary Alpha right?
