The budget is £500.
I would love to say I have an idea about PC hardware, but its been a few years since I bought my computer and I have absolutely no idea anymore as the market has changed quite a bit. Its his first PC, so he doesn't want to build it himself. Can anyone recommend any good sites that offer pre-built computers?
Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Not a huge amount has changed, but for that, he won't get a huge lot either I wouldn't have thought. What's the primary use, I'm guessing games?

Yeah its for games and he doesn't need a screen, so that cuts down the cost. I've heard people in the past say £400 is enough for a decent machine, maybe I'm just being optimistic.

Also depends on what games we're looking at here - Rollercoaster Tycoon will be a bit easier than say Battlefield 3 on Ultra settings

Even without a screen and peripherals, I spent SGD$1400 on my gaming rig. Pre-builts in lower specs come at about SGD$1200. So it really depends on what sort of games and what his desired spec is going to be.
Sorry, I don't know what the Singapore Dollar -> Pound Sterling conversion rate is right now.
