Make sure to spend all your money on booze so you can't afford decent food when you get back.

He's going to the UK soon, not like he's going to be able to get decent food there.

Says something about your cuisine if charcoal tastes better than it.

By the way Chyros, be sure to try some Hákarl. That'll prepare your gastric system for British food.

I've always wanted to go to iceland, was sort of going to for summer holiday one year, but that was changed to sicily because you can't guarantee the weather will be nice. Just be careful not to provoke any local volcanoes, or you might be there a bit longer than 11 days ^

OK then, there we go.
Iceland is a fantastic country to visit. I heartily recommend it to everyone. And sooner rather than later, because the tourist sector is still young, so grab it while you can. Pictures, let alone pictures taken with a cheap camera, and not touched-up, don't do the country any justice at all, but I guess I'll give it a try.
The country itself is a geologist's wet dream and a staple to visit for them. Iceland is geologically speaking relatively young, so it's still fresh, uneroded and active. The landscape is unlike anything you've ever seen. You know how people go on about New Zealand being the most beautiful country in terms of nature? That's quite debatable with Iceland around. But Iceland hands-down wins the Most Bizarre contest. There is nothing remotely like it anywhere on Earth, and everywhere you go, the landscape is totally different.
The main landscape is a hilly, basalty landscape. Think stuff like this:

Occasional features include waterfalls, such as Barnafoss, Hraunfossar, Goþafoss, Dettifoss and Gulfoss,:

(these stretch for about a kilometre btw)

Other features include
sulphurous deserts

crater lakes

solfataras

boiling mud pools

red mountains

random ore deposits

geothermally active areas

rocky wastelands

beautiful valleys

natural hot mineral springs

nature baths based in a lagoon of heavily over-saturated natural spring water

fresh lava tracks

geysers

fumaroles

sheep

explosion craters

snowy mountains

mountains seemingly made of gravel (actually cooled lava droplets)

bizarre (natural) lava formations

black beaches

Polar Beer and Helgi Sterki

rocky valleys

crystalline hills

More on culture and climate and stuff when Dauth stops annoying me to have a game

Looks epic!
That first picture, that's just silly. It looks like a bad Photoshop job where someone has stretched a hill
