Maia is a God game set in a 1970s inspired Sci-Fi world, think Dungeon Keeper but on another planet!

Anyway if that sounds like your cup of tea, check out the Kickstarter, which has a compendium of knowledge about the game :D

Personally I've been waiting for something like this for a while, it's been a long time since a decent God game and this one looks very promising.

Sounds really interesting!
"The entire ocean. The entire world. Wherever we want to go, we'll go. That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs but what a ship is... what Tidal Wars really is... is freedom."

It's hard to do a proper DK-inspired game. I've played many, but all have failed. We'll see how this one does :) .

Well the guy who is making it has the right vision, I've been on the official forums for a few months and its looking very good so far.

He is also up for suggestions (my suggestion became one of the stretch goals for example).

Nope, the campaign editor was my idea :D (Although the cats and dogs idea sounds pretty cool and is like something I'd come up with).

In the last few days Maia has been funded. It was looking pretty shaky until Total Biscuit posted a video asking for people to help fund the project.

Looking forward to a bit of base management again, it's been a long time.
