I have lived next to railroad tracks all my life (seriously, 3 different places and they have all been right next to one) and it is very soothing to hear the trains rolling past at night, i unno, may just be me...

For your info, I am staying at New Residence hall which is the largest dorm in McGill University. Having an awesome time here
Also the SAQ is the official store in Quebec where you can get alcohol that is harder than beer and wine and cider
