Why do I have a feeling you're not wearing any pants in those pictures?

Quote

As long as the dark foundation of our nature, grim in its all-encompassing egoism, mad in its drive to make that egoism into reality, to devour everything and to define everything by itself, as long as that foundation is visible, as long as this truly original sin exists within us, we have no business here and there is no logical answer to our existence.
Imagine a group of people who are all blind, deaf and slightly demented and suddenly someone in the crowd asks, "What are we to do?"... The only possible answer is, "Look for a cure". Until you are cured, there is nothing you can do.
And since you don't believe you are sick, there can be no cure.

Abseiling down a cliff in Scotland so I can climb back up, its deceptively tall - about 90ft high. Behind me the cliff dissappears behind an overhang. With the shoes thing, my left foot could fit into the climbing shoe I borrowed, however my right foot was painful if I shoved it in. Climbers tend to wear climbing shoes which are to small for extra performance, I would rather have happy unhurt feet, they do help massively though.

Oh yeah..
Posted Image

And this is what we climbed up after..
Posted Image

heres me stuck, though I made it up eventually. Actually now I think of it thats pre-stuck, I got stuck at he overhang above me, no hand/leg holds on the right side of the cliff except some tinys ones. Ended up just grabbing onto the top of the overhang and hauling myself over it.

You don't have anything indoor near you? This was my first time climbing outside, and even indoors I'm a beginner.

We have some indoor things but I've climbed a lot outside on vacation and it's not the same. I feel climbing indoors does not give you a real feeling of climbing, personally.

Ah, I love a good climb. What rating was the climb? Or was it just a "GUYS, THIS TOTALLY LOOKS CLIMBABLE. TIE SOME ANCHORS QUICK!"?

I agree with Chyros here, though. A lot of my experience is Indoor Climbing, and it's just not the same as Outdoor Climbing. I did around two years of 2 hours sessions a week for indoor (we had a climbing wall in our School) and every time I've done outdoor climbing it's very different. Really should find somewhere to go again.

Awesome helmet, Dutchy :xD:

It was a VS (Very Severe), pretty good bearing in mind I had no climbing shoes, indoor I can climb up to 5+, though I haven't been able to go for a while due to other commitments. 5+ equates to HVS or E1 in British grades.

Sounds like you mite have to warm up your pimping hand.

I question the general assumption that i am inherently deficient in the area of grammar and sentence structure
