Call of Duty 1 and Call of Duty 4.

That is the entire extent of the series.

Meh, CoD 1 had no fluidity, quite bad controls, and the multiplayer was very unimaginative and lifeless. CoD 4 was much better, but was so revolutionary that they needed a game to smooth out the first-time errors i.e. MW2 fixed these. MW2 brought its own faults though. I'd say CoD 4 and MW2 are by far the best in the series, both with their own strengths and weaknesses. CoD 4 has the potential to be better through modding, however there's only so much one can do to fix the game. All existing CoD 4 mods that I know of suck absolute donkey balls and further the game's imbalance.

Call of Duty 1 was innovative, however - just like Call of Duty 4. While it as a game might not be excellent - it as a trigger for other things definitely can't be denied. And to be honest United Offensive multiplayer was quite ahead of its time.

You will be charged at Hague for war crimes for conscripting 12 year old children |8 Which makes up about % 80 of the players...

Edit : I am a COD player ( even though it is rarely now ) and even though I didn't get into conflict, I've seen a training which simulates as close to reality as possible, hence the requirement of being a commando. And all I say is if you try to do the things in the game, you will die at the start of the conflict :P

Good to see you've finally graduated from babby's first FPS though. :P
I guess it took MW3 to pull me off the series. Which is ironic because MW3 actually is very well designed in many ways. It's just catastrophically boring - proof Treyarch and not IW had their hand in developing it.
Gotta love how you blame Treyarch for a game they didn't even create.

UO introduced mechanics that completely obliterated what little balance was left in the game. If anything UO made the game worse.

Actually Treyarch had a major hand in helping to develop the game and the game itself is based directly on Black Ops, see also developer commentaries.
