Holysheep!!

Private medical treatment in the UK is chuffing expensive. <87
Can't you get private health insurance?
What I am looking at is "elective" (rather subjective definition in the circumstances) treatment. There is not an insurance policy in the world that would cover it. And no, it's not cosmetic surgery.
I only have hospital cover in my private health insurance, but you can get private for just about anything here.
I would be amazed if this sort of thing was covered commercially any where.

Anyway, moving on to more random matters.....

:sly:?

With my hospital cover it would cover any surgery and the surgeon's fees, the anaesthesiologist is separate however. The public health system would cover most of the specialist fees for consultations.

I will be getting surgery soon, cost is about 2150 total, all I need to pay is about $240 of that.

Well I hope it goes well, however, surgery and treatment can be very different, obviously.

What I am talking about will not require surgery, but does involve medical intervention of a non-frivolous, non-cosmetic, but quite important nature. Because it isn't a fortuity (such as other types of medical conditions are) I doubt anyone would cover it

The military pays for all the bills here if you are sick, injured or whatnot, as long as you go to a government hospital/clinic...I think.

I should think so. A bullet in the foot would mostly likely be an occupational hazard anyway :xD:

On a strange side note, am now using LogMeIn for business purposes :/

Are you done with your conscription, or are you just finished for now?

IIRC if you get shot while in the SAF, you can be excused from conscription, or resign on the spot if you're a regular, whether you're bound by contracts that make you recompensate the government.

My conscription lasts 2 years, but I've signed onto the Navy, I'm serving 41 years if I have the fire. I'm now a regular.
