Because of the Olympics next week the Military have deployed several Rapier missile systems across North and South London. My colleague has just told me that whilst driving to work this morning he almost crashed his car driving through Blackheath when he saw one of them swivel round :xD:

That would be needed. Olympics have huge potential to be next 9/11 ( 727 more precisely :P ) considering lost chemical weapons which Libya had and current situation in Syria which Asad may well want revenge after that suicide attack. And Iran issue which had oil embargo get into effect since July 1st.
I personally will prefer to be not near London city when Olympic starts. For only first day. Since it is symbolic and almost entire world will watch the opening ceremony, if anything terrible happens, the one who do it will want to do it when entire world watching it. Oh not London Underground aswell. When a nuke explode above, they may do a chemical attack below aswell. It is a sad world we live in but such things are not far away possibilites :/

Or we could maybe not name another tragedy after a date. Just call it the London Olympic tragedy. If we keep up naming tragedy's after dates we will start to run out of dates and it will all become terribly confusing.

Indeed. Though if such an event ever happens, I don't think we will survive the outcome of it. A Nuke exploding in London will change the world into a state which nothing will ever be same again. And ignition of a world war from there is highly probable ...

Yes, but the detonation of a nuke in London is NOT very probable :P .

Why would you want to nuke London anyway, there's nothing but rioting teenagers and unemployed people there.

One would think 9/11 wasn't probable aswell, but it did happen, hell they even did hit Pentagon..

Correct sentence will be : " Why would anyone want to nuke London anyway... "
I don't, I want to live in a paradise like place but we live in a world which in constant threat of people destroying each other and extinct their own kind...

On the basis that we know people who live and/or work in London and will be there during the Olympics, do we think that perhaps we could NOT talk about terrorist attacks and nuclear detonations please?

Not that I believe in tempting fate, but if it is possible, YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT NAO!

Okay then, well I believe that during the London Olympics the impossible will happen.

England will actually go 6 hours without any rain. 8|

If you're good enough to get hold of a gun, you will pretty much know how to pull the trigger.

At least, it is over here, where there are only few firearms in curculation.
