There should be a law preventing people with limited mental capabilities from playing team based games with normal people.
No, instead, there should be Vote to Kick option.
Well, you'd still lose a 5v5 game if it's already started and you kick an imbecile from your team.
In standard games, kick the bugger and give everyone else a perma-buff
In ranked games, surrender@20 and attribute all negative elo points to afk player.
It always amuses me how a game that has been out for 3 years still hasn't solved problems that something in closed beta has fixed ages ago.
Huh? What do you mean? D:
It's a problem that League still seems to have that Valve has sorted for a long time.
Abandons/queue dodgers/trolls/etc all get sent to low priority to play with their own kind, leaving us 'normal' folk away from them.
I can't for the life of me get why League doesn't punish people who rage quit in hero selection either.
Not even getting into the fact that everybody is far more versatile so it is actually possible to adapt to a 4v5/3v5 and still win.
Leavers/afkers do get banned by League's internal systems automatically, but once unbanned they just come back and cock about again; I'd happily see League implement some form of tiering system to make them play amongst themselves, but I don't expect that they will, they're too busy with their social analytics and rewarding players they deem 'nice'. I'd prefer punishing those that are cocks, personally.
Rage quitters in hero selection get punished by wait times already - a single dodge = five minutes wait in normal, thirty mins in ranked, increasing each time you dodge. I don't see any problem with this, and if someone's not going to play I'd rather they dodge and force me to wait another couple of minutes than force me to play with them.
And I wouldn't say versatility to the point of where you can win an unbalanced game is necessarily a good thing. If it's got to the point of where it's a 3v5/4v5 then by the nature of a 'balanced' game you should not be able to win that game unless the enemy team is so bad that they swing the balance scales.
That said, League's community is absolutely godawful. For every one 'gj' you get, there's probably four 'you asshat' comments. What baffles me though, is how this game alone seems to suffer quite so badly...
Yeah, a tier system for queues would be perfect indeed.
But for "rage-quitting" during champ select, honestly I think that should instead be allowed with less penalties. I tend to dodge queues a lot, when I get matched with retards who insist on playing non-viable champions or on taking a specific lane and are being douches about it.
The fact that league is planning to add a system that sends dodgers to lower tier queues in the next patch is actually worrying me, because I do that a lot to avoid having to put up with imbeciles on my team, and now I'll have to deal with their bullshit or get sent down the ladder with even more idiots...
Also, AJ, if you think the LoL experience is the only one to be bad, you should try HoN
At lower levels :
In League, everyone is insulting their team
In HoN, everyone is insulting the enemy team
and in DotA2, everyone is too stupid to know how to use the chat anyway D:
