Yeah, that's one way to do it :P . Inhaling alcohol absorbs it much quicker than through the stomach, so it's a pretty fast and reliable way. The way he does it is quite wasteful though, as alcohol is miscible with water in all ratios which means that you lose a substantial amount in the drink itself which you can't get out. A more alcohol-efficient way is to distill it - i.e. boil it and inhaling the vapours. You can get drunk in a sauna by pouring drink over the heated rocks this way, for instance. The best way would be to continuously boil it and keep breathing it in. Warning - if you do it like this, you might easily underestimate how drunk you get off it and you might end up in the hospital.

Ah, I see. Do you happen to know which solvent it is? I'm experienced with the smell of a wide range of solvents due to my work so I may know what smell you are experiencing if you tell me ;P . My personal favourite is toluene, though it's quite bad for you (severely worsened my eyesight in my left eye after I had a toluene poisoning).

Well it is somewhat true, as there is warp portals everywhere which directly leads to hell, one minute you are in peaceful litte town at coast and then bam! hellish creatures shows up and eat your loved ones...

Even animals evolved pouches to carry their babies as it is too dangerous to leave them out in the open! There are wild wild predators in Africa too but animals there don't need pouches because there are no demons lurking around!

Ah, that's a fruit ester. Smells of fruit, but not strongly. Could be worse, tbh. Of the commonly used solvents, my least favourite one is probably ethyl acetate which is somewhat related to your solvent - it is also a fruit ester, but smells much more strongly of cheap glue. Most people don't mind it but I can't stand it.

The worst-smelling chemicals tend to be diamines, thiols and especially selenides. There are many fantastic anecdotes about smelly compounds btw, such as this one about thioacetone:

Quote

"Recently we found ourselves with an odour problem beyond our worst expectations. During early experiments, a stopper jumped from a bottle of residues, and, although replaced at once, resulted in an immediate complaint of nausea and sickness from colleagues working in a building two hundred yards away. Two of our chemists who had done no more than investigate the cracking of minute amounts of trithioacetone found themselves the object of hostile stares in a restaurant and suffered the humiliation of having a waitress spray the area around them with a deodorant. The odours defied the expected effects of dilution since workers in the laboratory did not find the odours intolerable ... and genuinely denied responsibility since they were working in closed systems. To convince them otherwise, they were dispersed with other observers around the laboratory, at distances up to a quarter of a mile, and one drop of either acetone gem-dithiol or the mother liquors from crude trithioacetone crystallisations were placed on a watch glass in a fume cupboard. The odour was detected downwind in seconds."

The original word is Ancient Greek; "δαίμων" which transliterated is "daimon" so strictly speaking it's none of them. In English it's just "demon" from what I know. EDIT: sorry it's with an omega of course
