The Chinese system is a little better, you just use software to convert Pinyin to Hanzi instead of having keys relate to a specific character.
Way more efficient.

You can try it here, just make sure you click on the Chinese character symbol on the left first.
Then you just type a Pinyin syllable (for example, "Li" or "Tan") and move to the correct character either by pressing the arrow keys and space, or the number next to it (much easier).
The Chinese I work with all use it, it's actually much faster than English as well because of how much more meaning the Chinese characters have.
