I think that was the one I played as well. It was the only one on Windows IIRC.

When I played it it basically played at 10,000 FPS though, which made it rather unplayable. If you had to go through that as well I can understand why it took you so long to complete .

The original WipEout was on PC as well.

I gave up trying to beat that a little while ago. I think there are some emulation problems when using the PS1 disc on my PS3, but I never played it on PS1, so maybe that's just how the game is. I might try buying it on PSN to see if it works any better.

I've been playing WipEout 2097 on my PS3 too, doesn't seem to be an emulation problems, and runs at a normal framerate - It's just very difficult.

(I haven't actually been trying for 21 years. It's taken me about 10 hours to beat it this time around. I just never complete it when I was a kid)
