The Wooting is the budget option of them, definitely. Personally, my favourite is the Steelseries (although it's also twice as expensive). That thing impressed me more than I thought it would've.

Wooting's new keyboard (HE-based) does seem like quite a step up tbh. One is on its way to me, very much looking forward to what it's like.

I recall you said something about "the developers left it out for this keyboard" for the Apex Pro

Looking at the Wooting 2 HE one, it seems quite specc'd up compared to everything else. I'll await your review next month! Generally I'm not a fan of Razer products, so might be going for the Apex Pro otherwise. I'll think long and hard about this. Just waiting for my Corsair K70 to annoy me enough to get it replaced!

Razer is a shite company anyway, on all points.
Making stuff harder for open source projects, wanting to establish a monopoly on RGB synching tech but doing a half assed job of it, including bitcoin miners in their app, shitty customer support, bad RMA, build quality gone to shit since the mid 10s...
I currently have a Steelseries Apex 7, Wooting One and Two, Coolermaster CK550 and MK750, my favourites are the Apex 7 and the MK750. Even custom keycaps (stock ones are mushy and feel like arse) could not redeem the wootings for me, although the two is less bad.
