I've been to Istanbul in summer. Wasn't a heatwave, but it wasn't even on the same order of magnitude as Singapore. 100% humidity is so bad that even 20 degrees is unbearable, let alone 30+. Honestly, I can't even begin to convey how unpleasant that climate is, it's so much worse than you can imagine.

Honestly the extreme weirdness of the country is fun and all, but you just can't enjoy it because of how intensely horrible the weather is. No wonder everyone has a swimming pool .

If I visited Europe I'd be wearing winter gear while the europeans would be in tank tops and bermudas complaining how bloody hot it is, while 16°C is the coldest temperature the aircons here would go
