Comparing smaller companies to Valve is unfair. They don't have the luxury of waiting 10 years.That being said, if they couldn't do it on par or better, they shouldn't have done it and made another game instead.

It is also insane how Valve approaches their projects. They work on something for years only to dump it later! Read The Final Hours of Half Life: Alyx, Valve is a dream company for any passionate developer.

Also, they've had 13 years since L4D came out. Anyway, the video is not about fairness. It's a statement that it was Valve that made L4D as good as it was. I find it fascinating now to see how much their dedication, attention to detail, and creative drive and vision has paid off, even after another company just flat-out copies the whole formula but fails to achieve the same success.

Actually game was great. Way too great in fact that i got way too addicted to it. Had to get myself banned by writing all the red flag words and asking people to not forget to report me, it worked.
It actually stopped me from playing it, i didn't bother making another account and getting the game again.

And then i get Terraria and Factorio

Even though those games are also addictive as fuck, does not have that competitive addictive feeling.

Oh i was working full time when i was addicted to it (9-19, 6 days a week) yet, whatever little spare time i had was going to it.
