He only really becomes a true villain at the end of the game. For the majority of the game he's more of an ally that you just exploit, and even in the end you exploit him.

That said, the Illusive Man is definitely one of the best VG characters ever made. Martin Sheen's voice acting is on point, too, he did an amazing job.

He was definitely a villain throughout, arguably he somewhat redeemed himself at the end... at least a little bit.

This was the reason why i randomly types Vaas a couple pages ago 8|
Finished Vaas yesterday and now i am going to see what Min has to offer
