I've actually been playing a bit of Renegade X and it's pretty fun! Perhaps a bit confusing at first if you're not familiar with Renegade, but it's fun to play and there's good spirit .

Firestorm is very much something different from RenX. Base building, MUCH bigger maps and bigger focus on map control, commander abilities - it's much closer to a Battlefield game than to Renegade. Infantry beta is coming out this summer if all goes well. I think it's got huge potential, should be very interesting . Tib Sun unit/building design isn't as cool as C&C1 IMO, but still they've got some cool stuff in there!
