Factory not big enough yet?

I've finally got to the point where I want to build a rocket, but my existing setup isn't really in a position to produce the components I need. So naturally, I am now going to be making some stupidly big factories to completely overproduce everything. The problem is there's a lot of ore everywhere and there aren't any big enough gaps to build the size of factory I need without building on top of the ore, but I also don't have anything consuming ore fast enough to clear out any of these patches. So I decided create a storage facility where random ore could be dumped off and bots would sort out the mess. Here's an early screenshot of that facility:

Since that screenshot, I've increased to 20k bots in the storage facility, and close to 1 billion ore.

Finally starting to pay off though.
