Trying to decide now whether I should spray on the canvas directly using a template for the figures, or spray cutouts and then glue them on. Hmmm, hopefully my last batch of tests will give some clarity here.

It's not just the sticking, it's also that the glue leaves marks, and warps the paper/makes it more transparent.

I'm gonna try with some kit glue this evening, and spray-painted paper, to see if I can get it to work better. Might also spray a template instead, but some parts definitely need to be paper glued on, I think. Also, I think it might interfere with those little cavities in the final painting (they might fill up and look weird). Not sure I can get away with only spray painting stuff on top of each other. Although it would be a fun experiment.

Definitely a complicated painting. If it works, I might make the male variant of it too . The one from the second "dream" should be a little bit more straightforward (although that's also with paper and glue).
