There was this big discussion both internally in the ShW balance team and publicly on the forums about the Aurora Alpha unit. Originally it used the EXPLOSION damage type but this was considered overpowered because EXPLOSION deals full damage to almost everything (it's the damage type base defences use, among others). So it was changed to JET_MISSILES which is the Raptor damage type, but this made it very weak against AA units, and this made it very counterable. So several big discussions erupted about whether it should be EXPLOSION and hard-counter everything, or JET_MISSILES and be useless. I was in the balance team back then so I was heavily involved with the discussions.
