I support wearing of masks but mostly because i don't want to see ugly people. (and it psychologically makes me feel better to not see people sneezing openly)
If we have a respitory virus deadlier than COVID at some point, you will see masks will not help to contain it. We are fucked.

The fear for nuclear weapons is of course justified but not in proportion to the fear of the danger that's posed by modern biological weapons. It is far easier and cheaper to develop a biological WMD than it is a nuclear one, and it is much easier to obtain, distribute and keep secret as well. It is also potentially far more devastating, by orders of magnitude, even.
