I think Age of Empires 1 was my first PC game (after winning a PC from a competition). I wish I had gotten into Civ3 or Alpha Centauri as I would have loved them as a kid (I need to have a proper go at AC at some point...). I also played a bunch of Sim City 3000.

But, I started gaming with a sega mega drive :D
I was the crucial Tails in Sonic 2 while my sister was player one.

RA1 was incredible. It was one of my first full versions of games, and that intro was just magnificent. The visuals, the intriguing storyline, the way the game loudly proclaims that Westwood PROUDLY presented it no less, and then that amazing music. Still get goosebumps from it to this day.

I miss intros like that, they were a big thing back in the day, a lot of time and effort was put into them. You don't really get big, impactful intros in games very often nowadays.

When I was young video games were better and we used to wear onions on our belt, as that was the style at the time.

My first introduction to gore was Resident Evil 2, i was actually so scared of playing it, i only played it during day and when someone else was inside home |: (I started playing pc games much later than PS1 ones)

I think the first game i ever played was Supablex, on my rich nephew's pc.

Yeah, I can imagine RE2 was quite intense! My first real taste of horror were the underwater parts of Tomb Raider...

I had a rich friend and we played PS1 together. I only have a vague memory of some of the games...

Most horrific scene i remembered from Tomb Raider was that servant appearing inside the empty home |:

I don't remember much else from the games but the rhytmic sound made by the underground machinations still stuck in my head (those big blades you have to pass through)

If they're supposed to be so dangerous, why did nature make tigers look so cuuuute? <3

There is a game that's trying to recreate that style.
