I was a muslim up until 18, lived among them my entire life, everyone i knew and worked with was one. Some of them were highly educated, some of them not. There was one thing in common: bigotry is hard coded into them. It took me many years and many nightmares to get ouf of that mindset fully.

I can tell you this, they fucking hate homosexuals. Those who live in rural areas (which makes up most of the refugees) are even worse. They believe natural disasters such as earthquakes happen because of "degenerates like gays living and practicing their sins among them"

So i always say wtf? when i see a homosexual support muslims. I triple wtf when they support extremist muslims such as Hamas (a regular muslim may not but they will fucking kill you in first chance)

Nazism is horrible, we have seen the example in history and how bad it can get. That does not mean whatever they are opposing to is truly innocent and should be let to sprout. A muslim majority country is no different than a nazi majority one.

Tolerance can be taught and people can change their viewpoints. Currently the far right in the UK hate all immigrants because immigrants have been used as a scapegoat for all of the UK's problems (see Nazism and the Jewish people).

The counter protesters do not support the actions of anyone willing to do horrific acts, they do however accept that people can change, but they can only do that if they are alive.

We're all on this planet together. We either attempt to find common ground and breed hope and community, or we become what we supposedly demonise.

Its been 1400 years since that religion is released, i doubt it will change anytime soon. Fear is embedded into that belief system's core. It will be too hard to change a muslim and accept a common ground. At best they will be "patient" with your values and culture, until they gain the numbers enough to carve out their own society in your own.

If you kiss a guy (not even passionately or anything) and hugged him in public, even here in Istanbul or Izmir, you will be shouted at and harassed, depends on the part of the city, you might get beaten or killed aswell. If you do it outside any of the few major cities (where secular people live mostly) you will most certainly get beaten. or even killed.

Of course there are always exceptions, quite peaceful ones aswell, usually those are the ones which does not practice anything related to islam and just muslim in identity.

I saw someone point out recently that the LGBT community is the biggest supporter of Free Palestine in response to a hate comment about gays. I must admit I'm not sure what's going on either. I'd see all religions wiped off the face of the earth if I had the chance, particularly the Abrahamic ones. The amount of violence, hate, death, fear, misery and torture that's come out of religion should by now really have taught us something.

Exactly. They support people which hate them. Why the fuck? One might say " we support their right to live " but they do not support your right to live so why care?

Nazism is dangerous ideology, we all agree on it. But islam is also a dangerous ideology. You can't make fun of their prophet or draw cartoons about it without getting killed, i mean seriously how much more dangerous it can get than this?

You might say "regular muslims don't kill cartoonists, only extremists do". My father is a regular muslim too and he thinks cartoonist "deserved it" by painting that. and i know %99 of them think the same, they might not do it themselves but they agree with what is done.

Fundamental principle of Islam is "to fear from Allah and his judgment", and prayers are basically begging for him to not put you into hell and be merciful to you. It is fucked up, it especially fucks you up when you are little and thought such things, and they all teach their children that.

I am not a muslim for over 17 years or so, i still have fear of hell deep down somewhere, that fear will make you do anything.

I'm not advocating violence or hate, it's abhorrent what's happening in the UK right now. What I'm saying has nothing to do with that at all.

Remember what religious people do when they think they've got enough critical mass, and how much power, death and violence they dealt when they could get away with it. Our battles were fought before our time, but in the 40s or 50s you would get lobotomised for being gay, and electroshock even into the 1970s. If you were born in the US even today, you'd have a good chance of being disowned or outcast, possibly sent to a gay conversion camp, or worse. In many other countries you'd have it even worse, possibly much worse even. Positive steps towards unity are admirable, but not something religion allows acceptance of. You can turn a blind eye to this, but they sure as hell won't towards you.

Again, I'm not advocating hating anyone, just being aware of who is trying to get you killed by any means they can.
