Let's put it like this. It's a well-known fact that controller users are at a disadvantage playing FPS games against people with mouse and keyboard - hence why they have to get aim assist (and I've been told that even then it's hard).

I used auto cannon and spire, which worked well until late, barely won that, one more wave and i would have lost :s

I hadn't unlocked it or even seen it before then. So I started with the shield, auto cannon and compactor. Was a bit hairy until I got enough water for the auto cannon to start kicking ass, but after I got the launcher it was easy peasy, I think I beat the final wave without taking damage.
