It is? I've not really heard a huge amount about it either way.

The earliest FF I played was FFVII, but I recently picked up a PlayStation Portal and the Pixel remasters. I've heard a bunch of good things about FFVI, but thought I might as well play through FF1-5 since I have them.

I'm enjoying FFI for what it is, but I feel like I would be having a considerably worse time without all the QoL updates in the remaster.

I vaguely recall having heard that it was very forgettable and really boring, basically not worth the time.

So far the only thing I've encountered that I'd recognise as FF is the item names.
