I heard that the best way to give it up is to stop from today to tomorrow.

as for an all out ban on drugs, most are illegal. however what would you do about the afgan poppy farmers, 75% of the world's opium is produced there but we cant stop teh farming or they will all starve.
Alcohol is a dangerous and addicitve substance that occurs naturally, when imbibed it can produce a varying set of reactions. In small quantities it will stimulate conversation and allow discussions to take place.
A small amount of alcohol alters the blood sugar levels of humans (ask a diabetic). This quick variatio poses no threat to healthy people and the swift changes can weaken any germs etc in the bloodstream allowing less coughs and colds.
[science] All bacteria like a high sugar bloodstream and inhibit insulin production, alcohol changes sugar levels fast so your insluin levels go up giving a low sugar environment, this kills/weakens bacteria allowing antibodies to fight them off[/science]
Alcohol should be more strictly moderated so that only those who have shown the ability to behave responsibility while under the influence are allowed alochol. A falt out ban is contrary to my way of life and this is dangerously close to being deep end

Most of my restaurant meals (it is allowed in restaurants) taste less because there's some people who can't eat without smoking. At trainstations it is mostly forbidden yet they do it anyway. To name just two things.
I have asthma and my lungs already aren't that great, I'd like to keep them clean from smoke. Passive smoking is just as bad and I think it's kind of selfish from those smokers who smoke at places where it is not allowed or who smoke near to me. Just go outside somewhere if you must, do not bother me with it. If you want to mess with your body fine, but I'd like to keep mine healthier.

I agree with you Blaat.
Here, they've even banned smoking in bars, which didn't go over too well with the smokers. Smoking in public, I think, is ignorant. It takes away us non-smokers' right to breathe clean unmolested air. I know people that smoke, and they smell of smoke, their teeth look horrible and yellow, plus where they hold the cigarette is discolored. They may be nice people, but they need to kick the filthy habit.

Major Nuker
