I swear I didn't use image reversal. I just guessed it after seeing the mechs and considering how old it was I went for 1.

Well the game in your icon is Z, but that doesn't really count...

Is that Heros of Might and Magic... 4 maybe?

Nope, it's not a HoMM game, but you're very close. This particular game was actually strongly based off HoMM.

Well the only games of that genre I ever played are HoMM and Disciples, so thinking won't really help :xD:
And internetz searches were useless as well, all the HoMM-like games I found are too different from this one D:

I'll give you a hint. Its name is a contamination of the two games it was mostly based on. One of the was HoMM. Wasn't much about Might though :xD: .

Yeah, it's Lords of Magic. Based off Lords of the Realm and Heroes of Might and Magic. Though flawed by bad implementation, it had a very promising mechanics and a very charming atmosphere.
