US forces push up through Germany, cutting off Russian forces in the Netherlands, and retaking Ramstein air force base. The base has the capability to service large aircraft such as strategic bombers and heavy transport aircraft and will come online within three posts. However, at this time, we don't have the manpower to launch an offensive into the Netherlands itself. The offensive will be chiefly up to forces stationed in northern France and Belgium.
In the meantime, US missile strikes and bombing raids continue against Russian industrial facilities and military complexes.

A section about the USA involvement was added with the start of the second Rise of the Reds roleplay thread.
USA:
* The Isolationist government has only allowed a portion of the US army (an expeditionary force of no more than a handful of forces) to help their European Allies.
* No SDI Defences unless told otherwise. Only anti missile defences are available at the home front, not Europe.

IIRC I don't think Britain is actually a member of the ECA. Or at least I don't think we ever got a definitive response from the team about it.

Germany, OK. But Russia? Are you kidding me? Where are the bombers coming from? Alaska? Diego Garcia? They'd have to tank halfway inside Russia if they wanted to come home again. The VVS does not take the former PVO's duties lightly. I can see it happening with cruise missiles, but bombers haven't got a hope. Leaving aside the rules issue (you can AFAIK attack Russian gains in Europe, but not Russia itself until a story update says so), the logistical considerations for any kind of strategic aviation attack on Russia, combined with the world's most powerful IADS and AA artillery, make such an attack unlikely once, and impossible continuously.
The news about Ramstein, however, is highly disturbing. They must have been airborne troops to have bypassed the defence lines on the French border. I'm authorising a high-level strike mission; while having the airfield denied to us would be unfortunate, it's not nearly so unfortunate as having it used against us.
*Within the hour three Tu-160s take off from Poland. Travelling at very high level they use afterburner generously, and keep a sharp watch on their radars. Passing only over routes where friendly AA forces are stationed, they rendezvous with a group of interceptors who dive over Ramstein, drawing AAA fire, while the bombers, several kilometres overhead, throttle down and open their bomb bay doors. FOABs drop out and drift gently down on their parachutes...
Ramstein's main runway is cracked down its length, and the control and hangar buildings simply cease to exist.*

I regret to inform you, Comrade Centric, that I will be taking a short leave of absence for the next two or three days. In this time I will not be able to command any forces. However, I have authorised you to issue orders to any of my units, so call upon PAK FAs, Mi-28s, Il-76s, and Ka-50s as you wish, in addition to any Mi-24s, Black Sharks and Su-47s Orlov sees fit to give you. Try not to lose them. They are expensive. Also remember that three fresh squadrons of Frogfoots have just arrived, and are eager for battle.

Centric: If you could break the rules, why we cant? JB use Topol Missile Strike which can use ONLY general.
About these Humvees, I think that they need more grey paint job.
JB: Again you give your assistant forces which u dont had? He could use only your "Aleksandr" forces. If he choose as his general Orlov, he could use both Aleksandr's and Orlov's, but if he is your assistant, didnt that mean that he is also "Aleksandr" officer?
Ghostrider: I am not part of ECA or USA anymore. Now I am Resistance member. I said that because ECA/USA forces need some heavy armor to stop Russians.

Without warning, dozens of cruise missiles are fired from US submarines. The missiles fly in at low level, evading enemy radar, and hit Russian bomber bases in eastern Europe and western Russia simultaneously. The bomber hangars and arms storage bunkers are hit and destroyed in a series of secondary explosions, thus eliminating much of the Russian bomber force in the west.

I'd say this is more of a harassment than a full-scale assault don't you think? I'd understand your point if they were counter-attacking but in this case they're more likely crippling the production capabilities of Russia.

I thought that by attacking Russia you meant deployment of troops there, something that we obviously cannot do. I think strikes such as these would be fair game, however.

Commander Kamikazi, I sended several PZHs and Leopards to ECA territory, ask Commander Ghostrider if he can trasnport them to you. There are also 2 MARSs systems which we find. They will be very helpful.
Also I am fan of fan-made Transformers Legacy. Even its fan-made, its really nice work. If you want to check it out, come here.
