TF2 Update Thread

By the way, if anyone is a tad confused over the new "The Eyelander now collects the heads inside Eyelanders of Demomen it decapitates" feature, it means that if Demoknight X has already decapitated some folks, and demoknight Y kills him, then it is 1 head + X's collected heads.
In other words, DX had F heads, DY killed DX, and gets 1 + F heads.

Valve is just trolling ppl, like with the purse
The purse was added because someone died in valve and it was a woman. Her favorite class was pyro so the team made the purse

I noticed some automatic update from TF2 and no change log list on steam site? Anyone got clue with this?
CJ 23 Jun 2010
Sneak update? I didn't get any download personnaly, apart from a Day of Defeat update...
Magma 24 Jun 2010
I think it must be cos of that Three Maps. Two Teams. One Victor. cos it's also on official TF2 site. dunno what they "updated" cos of that, might be somesort of spectate thingy that people can watch those matches.
TheDR 24 Jun 2010
Sometimes it has to re-download files even if its a small change. For example, if they moved a bucket in a map, you would have to re-download the whole map, its the same for internal text files.
I'm disappointed in the time it has taken to release the engineer update, it has been nearly two months since that "coming soon" video.

It's not a weapon, if you read the code it looks more like something that could be related to a game mode

Ok. Well, how can you explain with this?
How can I explain that a non official website has already considered it as a weapon? Seems pretty easy : It's not a Valve announce, therefore it's not certain D:!
On the other side, those lines are from the game files, and nothing similar exists for the other weapons.

"TF_HUD_Event_GoldenWrench_C" "%s1 has found Golden Wrench no. %s2!"
"TF_HUD_Event_GoldenWrench_D" "%s1 has destroyed Golden Wrench no. %s2!"
"TF_HUD_Event_GoldenWrench_D" "%s1 has destroyed Golden Wrench no. %s2!"
They also suggest that it'll be related to some kind of event, I suppose that after the Demo vs Solly war, we'll get the Engie Treasure hunt or something along these lines
