Well youve all seen what i can do but what can you all do? post pictures and code if you want. Of your particle systems here.

I don't believe this is a really.... well viable topic. This is due to the fact that people will always (almost) like a large explosion over a small one due to the possiblity of added detail that cannot be contained in a small one. Large and small explosions, muzzles, etc cannot really be compared you see.

None the less, I'll post some of mine soon.

For the first pic, the explosion seems to be a giant soap bubble to me

but they're all pretty good.

Theyre not bad Tiaro, good for a beginner.
And SB, this isnt about how good the particle are, im just intriguied as to how many people actually do particles or try them, because there dont seem to be many of us, ive started 1 or 2 off, but we seem to be pretty rare us particle FX coders.

Really I just mean it's hard to tell what one's "best" are because some can be bigger and more detailed while others smaller and more fitting

I see your point. But i meant what you think is your best. That nuke is very nice btw.

I see you put those textures to good use

My only gripe is that they are still 2-dimensional and unless the explosions happen really quickly, they probably look quite odd if you rotate the camera.

This is my first real particle, I have alot to learn.

Well, to get those results in proper 3d is a huge leap from just using a texture to simulate it. For that matter, you can't entirely get that effect in full 3d though.

You might want to make the picture a bit larger, as I can't really tell what it is.
