Teh finish'd. Mostly. I could model a grip and add a few more details here and there, but it's already near 6k polies. Damn cylinders :sly:

EDIT: Fully finished the model, I'll skin it somewhen the next 400 years :sly:

Quote

The Gliza Union of Planets' first fighter able to operate both in space and in atmospheres up to 20 times as dense as that of the Earth, and it's also the first craft ever with a frame made completely of Thoranium, an incredibly strong Titanium alloy, mostly produced in the Gliese 581 system, thanks to the unusually high concentration of Titanium on its planets and asteroids. Unfortunately, this makes the aircraft ungodly expensive, only four have been built.
It carries two pulsed detonation engines in the inner engine pods and 2 plasma thrusters at the wingtips. It's capable of withstanding Superluminal travel, but doesn't carry its own subspace window generator.
It's armamanet consists of up to 8000 pounds, only 2000 if it's supposed to go to space, in missiles, as well as a single mass driver. It can be equipped with a single high-energy laser instead of the internal weapon bay.
It is able to withstand re-entry heat with ease, however, it cannot leave a planet with a gravity like Earth's or above on its own, it's however possible to mount a expendable launch system consisting of a scramjet and two aerospikes as well as three fuel tanks.

I'll skin it later :rotfl:

Really improved in the skinning department Rho!
With shiny cockpits its worth making fake reflections, similar to something like this

Thanks! :)

The cockpit is going to get a "real" reflection effect ingame.

Taking a short break of working on TA, I updated a tank I modeled a while ago...

Quote

The Panther has been in service with the Gliza Union of Planets since 2200, over 40 years, and has been updated 5 times by now. It's built for deployment on any number of worlds and environments, and it built almost completely from non-metals. The proposed A5 variant even uses crystal technology instead of classic electronics and is thus completely immune to EMP strikes. Its tracks can be fitted with magnetic pads, allowing it to drive on the outside of spaceship hulls to aid in defensive purposes, and can be completely sealed off from the environment. Unlike most Glizean vehicles, the Panther uses tracks instead of hoverpads since they are vulnerable to electromagnetic pulses.
It's powered by a miniature fusion reactor, and armed with a 90mm gauss cannon, a coaxial maser - mircowave laser - and a ultraviolet high-energy laser on an additional turret. Its defenses are composed of self-regenerating semiorganic armor, a pulsed forcefield generator, and its hull can immitate the IR-image of any number of things, like civlian cars, animals, etc., by heating and cooling spots on its surface. Additionally, the forcefield generator can act as an EMP if neccesary, and emit a short-range pulse that disables any conventional electronics.

Longer barrel. :P Slightly longer chassis, too. Right now it looks like a very compact, chubby tank :xD:

It's a tank in a spacesuit, pretty much. It's intended to be chubby. Also its short cannon is intentional.

It's not really a muzzle break...it doesn't slow down the non-existant propellant gasses :P
