How the heck did this get so far? The average "Hi" thread goes to a max of like, 2.
I just say nothing

E.V.E. is the most popular and awesome person around. That is why she has 6 pages in her "hi" thread.

I think it has to do with the gender and how some people go apeshit over that. It's happened before. I wouldn't call this forum the most "female friendly" gamers forum around, to be completely honest. But things could be worse.

hey blaat what is wrong with you. just cause she wants to get someshere in this forum doesn't mean you have to tear down what she has built. Yeah she is a girl but nowhere does it say that this is a guys only forum. If everyone else wants to say hi let them. i personally think she is a great person. speaking as we have become fast friends. if you don't like her you don't have to. and so what if her welcome page is bigger that your was get over it
. Welcome to the forums E.V.E.

I never made a welcome topic afaik. And I do like her. You misunderstood my words. But I don't feel like you'll understand them even if I tried to explain.

I bet that if Blaat would have made a "Hi" thread, at these days, she'd have gotten the same number of pages. And, lol at Blaat's misunderstood post!

Lol to that too. And the other part is discussion over stuff, which makes it useful.

That's exactly my point Sic. Why my and E.V.E's thread? Why not other people's?
Someone who makes a welcome thread, is new to the forums, right? If I were to make one, you wouldn't know much of me. So why my thread and not yours?
I think I know the answer

It happens, because 1337 girls don't come so often. Don't misunderstand it, but girls like you are hard to find. Especially the girls in ES.

"According to IDSA, women make up 43% of all PC gamers and 35% of console gamers"
I think there are more than most people would think. Make a guess why they aren't found much on forums like ES..?

I'm going to agree with Blaat here. Some people on this board are not quite through that stage in their lives, and others have "raging hormones" as some would put it.
You say this is "female friendly" but then go rambling on because she is a girl. I'd recommend this comes to a halt, there is no need for 6 pages in a hello topic, with posts by the same people.

It's pretty funny when you think about it. They find a good female gamer, and they lose their fucking mind. I had a female gamer as a friend once (DON'T challenge here to an FPS match ;_; ). But she moved. I'm pretty calm for my age. But others just have their head in the clouds and never see one before they introduce them selves, and then bam. Hello nutcases.

Well i dont know where you got those statistics from blaat, maybe it includes korea or something, because females do definately not make up 43% of the gaming population. I dont think its even 10% in the UK. But taken as a generalisation " Girls like shopping, guys dont. Guys like games, girls dont " And it will probabaly stay that way because most games do not appeal to females. Most of them have no need to kill each other in BF2 or to blow up a virtual world with nukes and be awarded on how many million people you kill in the likes of Defcon for example. Maybe if more games where geared towards what the majority of females like in general ( Puzzle solving, Making a difference ect ) and not killing and more killing, maybe we would have more female gamers. Sorry to spam your thread and welcome to the forums E.v.E

By 1337 I didn't mean " ZOOMG THEY'R LIEK FEMALE GEMERS ZOMG DOOD FEMALE!!!! LOLOLOLOL" I just said they're better than other females, cause' I myself haven't seen many of those as many girls don't care about nothing else in the computer except for MSN, their own RL pictures, and music. No offense meant.

Actually, in the UK it's about 1/3rd I've read, according to BBC.
And no, what you're saying there is the general stereotype. There is much more female gamers out there than you'd think.

Really? how come ive never met any then, i know only know 1 girl in RL that plays games.
Athena

I don't know that exactly. Maybe because of the reaction some people give? It's not the first thing I tell new people I meet (both online as in real life). In fact, because of it I was sometimes online even tempted not to tell people I'm a girl. Because honestly, knowing someone's gender, does not change who they are.

Not causing offense to anyone (especially EVE), but this thread has served it's purpose and the last 2 pages have been completely irrelevant to the topic. If you people want to continue discussing female gamers, feel free, but this thread isn't the place to do it.
