You after I've made some sigs in PhotoShop, I thought why not make my own thread to show them to everyone like someother members on this forum have.

So have it is my own art thread be nice, also don't make requests for me to make you a sig, I'm not that good yet.

This is my first sig that I've made, which was back when I chose to enter one of the sig of the week contests.


This is my second one, you can see improvements over my first by looking at this one.


This is my third one, it's also the first one I made that had a border.


This is my forth sig, tbh I think it's quite good.


And finnally my fifth sig, I just made it today and I must say I'm improving.


Well that's it for now, I have about three other images, but I'll upload them later, right now I'm curious as to your thoughts on the sigs?

they're nice but most of them look like you've simply added txt to the images, and maybe a border on the one.
if this is wrong then u have blended the images very well.

Use stroke on the fonts. And, that's really good gradual improvement, but I like the 3rd one more than the last one.

Well that's all I really did is add filters and other simple effects like that as I'm not very skilled like the other sig makers around here.

Edit: I should really get PS on my comp so I can practice more often, but I don't have the money to buy it.

get an image and just click ramdom things just to find out what they do.
practice practice practise. also on the layers list right-click on a layer and choose blending properties and mess with things there, theres some good effects there. found that by accident!

And I would strongly recommend to stop using filters. They're used only on certain cases when you know what you're doing. Don't go overboard with B&E, it's got to be 0, or 1 to have the best look. Always blend the colors, and use layer adjustments, which are right next to the blending options button. Hue/Saturation, and Color Balance help you overlay a color on the layer/selection, and Hue/Saturation allows you to either completely change the color spectrum of the layer/selection, or to colorize the layer. I hope this helps you photoshop begginners.

I removed GIMP from my computer cause it was to hard for me to figure out how to use, you lied Alias, you said it was easy, so I give up.

Well, If GIMP was the first art program that you have learned to use then it would be easy (like in my case). But since you have PS, the organization of GIMP makes it harder.

I don't get how a beginner like you can make stuff that's a 100 times better then what I can make, my work is crap and everyone else's is better, that's how it is, so I give up, I shouldn't have even bothered in the first place.

And to you Forgotten Soul, why do you want to give up, because some are better then you?

I cant even make a Black Background, with a Barrel or just a Box in front of it.
That little bit what you have done so far, is quite good.

You will get better when time passes, but when you give up now, you will loose the Chance to maybe show some great Skills, and even to get a Hobby.

Just Think about it.

I have also done some looking around and I found a mod for GIMP that turns the layout into something very similiar to Photoshop.

There is a download for the Windows version.
