Dawn of War (and all it's successors) 10/10

I was looking for an RTS that shared similar game objectives as CoH and was able for online play with dial up. I have found it, in Warhammer 40K form no less! Truly an awesome game, while it's no table top, it still got enough content in there to keep anyone's interest alive. With the DCPro mod making major headway, and another expansion within reach, I can see nothing but a bright future for this franchise.

Act of War 8/10

This game has some great units, ok upgrades (not as good as the UaW ones but it atleast has some ones that grant new abilities and take advantage of the game's POW system) and the factions have diversity much like the ones in Generals (ie similar tech tree, different play style). I really love the campaign since it doesn't have too many missions and it has FMVs. The only thing I wish you could do is play as the Consortium for a few missions. The graphics are not only good, but efficient use of the hardware requirements. My PC is rather dated and although this is an old game it looks better than C&C3 does (well on my computer). I should also mention the music (which is great) it is actually done by an orchestra!

8/10 Had awesome fun farming a boss which makes statues come to life by leading him around the WHOLE museum level, waking up EVERY statue in the whole level. Lols and "Aaaargh I'm cornered" were had by all.

FrontLines Fuel Of War

Woulda been even higher except is still has a few serious bugs, especially at the server select screen..and the Grenade Launcher has way too much splash damage and is just SPAMMED by the Noobs...

But it gets 9/10 because it is GREAT Fun and because without braggin i for some reason just totally Rule online at it... im always in the top 5 on the board and often am No 1 baby!

For all FPS fans and Cod4 fans who are bored of it i reccommend FL Highly!!!!!

Mass Effect - 9.5/10

What can I say? This game was awesome. Combat is pretty cool, though the MAKO controls are a pain in the ass until you get used to them (which was halfway through the game for me). Love the "choose your dialog" thing. Story is also pretty great. Can't wait for a sequel for this one.

Dynasty Warriors 6. 9/10

Well I'd give it a 9 because although it had sheer amazing graphics and awesome gameplay,However I would of given it a 10 but I gave it a 9 because all characters where not playable in musou mode..I do recommend this game but theres 17 only playable in Musou mode..Rest are free mode/challenge.

Lets see if KOEI makes Dynasty Warriors 7.

Battlefield 2

felt like reliving some gd ol days so re-installed it

I always play on low graphics settings but that still doesnt take away the awesome feel of it, somehow it feels like you're really there in a dense middle-eastern street shooting it out with other people with planes/helicopters flying over your head and tanks rolling by. The squad element just adds to the experience and a good squad can rule the battlefield.
The different kits means you can play however you want. feel like camping? choose sniper, feel like getting stuck in the midst of the battle? choose medic/support, feel like getting rid of those GODDAMN vehicle whores? choose anti-tank/engineer
plus i am awesome at it

as a huge FPS fan (zero hour mods are the only games i play besides FPS's for some reason) id highly recommend it even though its old and probably been replaced by CoD4

looses points because of how easy it is to vehicle whore but thats easily sorted out

I really wanna play CoD4 coz it looks like an incredibly improved BF2,
would anyone who's played both alot say that?

Hey Pav3d! i am a big Bf1942/Bf2 fan.. [didnt like 2142 at all thou] and if You Love the intense anything goes fighting of BF2 then the ONLY game You will want to play is FRONTLINES Fuel Of War.

remember the amazing Bf1942 Mod DESERT COMBAT?! well the crew from DC made Frontlines!
Frontlines is all about intense crazy battles with choppers, jeeps and tanks hooning about and exploding everywhere...its fun and easy to pick up and play and has a great online community at the moment! BEST FUN FPS game i have ever played...brings back all the memories of playing Bf1942 Wake Island Demo all nite long!!

i play and enjoy COD4 also but it is really quite different to the style of BF that You like. there are NO vehicles, no classes or loadouts like BF and it is primarily a 'headshot' orientated FPS as opposed to a more action packed fun game. Its more in the lines of Counterstrike than a BF style game thats for sure.

Rise of Legends

Great game, lots of diversity between sides. each side is amazing (personally i love the Vinci and all their steampunk-esque stuff) with tons of different units and abilities
complaints: patching doesnt work. no, really. the auto-updater gets partway thru then says the patch in invalid. google it, everyone has that problem. also, some things are kinda imba (cough Doomcannon cough).

overall its pretty good, considering imo Rise of Nations sucked epic bawlz
