For the people that rushing mod forums sites etc for mod tools. you cant mod the demo!

EA Encrypted all files to nothing.

if u see the assets database exists in .cdata files the Targa files CANT be opened.
it says File format error. EA putted a encryption and hided the files because the activation of some sides.

Explaination. EA only wanted that u play with GDI not NOD. when u know something about modding u can enable the NOD side with the ini's so they encrypted the files so we cant learn any shit of it.

In the upcoming days we may have some good C++ scripters or C# scripters than Maybe can fix that.
but that wont be help at all i think.

just wait to the final build of the game on 28 march aka 30/31 march. i dont think that EA released game at that date. Thank god i get a free copy

Tip: You already can start making assets for the game like Textures/Models/Interface Textures/Sounds.
but not mapping or scripting yet.

Here is a extracted DDS of CC3 EA doesnt like this much but its ok

I think it would be illegal to de-code the demo, not?

I like these 'customized' emblems it almost feels like the vehicle crews were responsible for it. Good job EA.

Yes And No because Speclar Maps are Black & White but depents what EA wants.

The Purple looka like skin are the bump maps but i think the red one is for the reflextions

Speculair Reflection but yes seems its in EA's eyes speculair textures

Yeah, reflexions, speculars, whatever... I never had the time to really figure out the difference between these. Thanks for your answer. :P

The blue/purple map isn´t a bump- but rather a normal map. These are also used in BFME. Uh well, pretty much the same aside from some details in creation and effect.

Does that mean a C&C3 Renegade conversion would be possible?

Do you reckon they'll provide any Mapping Tools?
Or will that fun activity be banned too.

It will be very fun for us in the Mapper Guild, CNC3 mapping owns, as I also see from the already present map in the demo. There's very much detail possible, and the map won't lag on any engine, because if you set the GFX details low, the game will lower the map details. I love this SAGE engine.

You mean NVidia´s Normal-Map creator (dunno how it´s called. The one that converts modell and bump-map data to normalmaps)?

I think you can read more info at this topic at PPM.

I'll definately try things like that with the full game when it's out.

Tip: dont waste ur time to exploid the demo it doesnt matter. in that meanwhile the final release is done and ready for sell :D

and with 3ds w3x plugin u can always import the models and render but EA wont let you enter the pipeline before the final release is done
