Post some tips here

When holding on to a semi-automatic handgun, you should hold as tightly as possible. This is for a steadier aim, better recoil absorption, and sometimes some handguns will not work properly if you don't.

Better have a gun and not need it, instead of need a gun and not have it.

Always aim for the head if you want to kill and aim for the hand or leg if you want to disable someone.

Hold with both arms to prevent unprecise Aiming.
Aim for Head or Elbows or patella.
If you got the chance, crouch.
Shoot

Never shoot all ammo empty in one Run, if you got Cover, use it.

If things are getting out of hand, keep a bullet for yourself.

Always keep a spare bullet
Try to never use it unless absolutely neccesary
if the other guy has a gun, shoot to kill, or if your amazing, shoot the gun that he's holding or his hand that's holding the gun, if they're not holding a gun or a projectile weapon, shoot to wound
Always try to conceal your firearm
Makesure that the safe is off whenever you might have to use it
Don't get trigger happy.

When firing from a full auto weapon always shoot in short bursts.
Polish them whenever u got time....u dont want your gun to be jammed now do you?
Put your pistol at a place from where you can grab it fast

don't hold your gun to the side like a "gangsta" unless you know what your doing

don't buy a gun with bullets just for show, it's not a toy

don't take any advice from a wannabe gangster. an AK-47 is not a machine gun

don't shoot at flying aircrat with a pistol

Aim for the gut. You'll have a higher chance of hitting it, marksmanship or not. One shot or a few should be enough to incapacitate someone if you're using a .45. If it's a .22, forget it. It will literally bounce off the ribs.

And...

Revolvers are virtually fool-proof.

Guns are not clubs.

When owning a gun, regularly aim and fire the weapon to adjust your sights

Using a high precision rifle:

-remember that gravity and wind exist.

-at more then 1km: aim a bit (about 1 cm) above the point you want hit.

-they are REALLY be for close quarter combat

-donĀ“t shoot at a armored vehicle, unlss you use a AT sniper rifle

Don't forget that at extreme ranges, you also have to factor in the Earth's rotation.

~ Keep the weapon unloaded at ALL times, unless you are going into a situation where you will need it
~ Keep the safety ON at ALL times, right up until you need to fire. As soon as the immediate threat is eliminated, put the safety back ON
~ Keep your finger OFF the trigger at all times, except to fire
~ Aim for center mass
~ Use proportionate response. If they have a projectile weapon and fire it at you, you are cleared for lethal force. If not, then you're not
~ Your weapon only performs as well as you take care of it
~ Use good trigger control. Do not slam the trigger back, you won't hit shit. Gently squeeze the trigger. You should be squeezing so gently that the weapon's discharge startles you
~ Control your breathing. Innnnnnnnnnnnn...hold...ouuuuuuuuuuuut...hold... Fire on 'hold'
~ If your weapon has a bipod, use it!
~ When shooting from a window, stay back from the window. Yes, it narrows your field of fire, but makes you harder to both spot and hit
~ Don't even think about full auto
~ ALWAYS use Cover and Concealment (C&C)
~ Obtain a good stock weld (rifle-shoulder/rifle-cheek contact)
~ Take into account windage and range
~ One shot, one kill

Bullets don't always go where you aim. For precise shooting at long range you have to factor in the bullet's spin, weight, maximum range, wind, etc.

Trust me, I know. "Aim" includes taking those things into account, not simply pointing the weapon directly at the target.
