Species: Fox
Home planet: Shana Dova
Faction colour: green
Overview:
The PDF is generally the side most players would feel 'at home' with, having more 'regular' weapons and technologies than the other sides. A less technological side, the PDF often uses technologically 'boosted' conventional weapons. The PDF is unique in that all vehicles have hover capability, increasing their speed tremendously. Their vehicles are the fastest in the game, but they can't run over infantry. Another weakness is that their vehicles suffer a substantial speed penalty when damaged, making hit-and-run attacks against heavily-defended targets harder to pull off.
Tactics:
- Hit and run
- Frontline fighting
Special technologies:
- Hover engines on all vehicles
- Most buildings are armed with a cannon and can defend themselves
- Infantry stealth when still
Strengths:
- Speed
- Conventional all-round weaponry
Weaknesses
- Weakish armour
- Vehicles slow down massively when damaged
- Vehicles can't run over infantry
- Weapon ranges are relatively short

Dark Empire - Emperor's Darkshield
Species: Black Panther
Home planet: Omega Prime
Faction colour: red
Overview:
Darkshield is the player of choice for anyone who likes stealth and gadgetry. Their technology is superior to everyone else's due to their mithrillite-powered weaponry. Their weapons systems are based on a 'modular' design that allows you to fit several weapons of choice onto a single vehicle chassis or defence 'base block', not unlike the Component Towers in Tiberian Sun. Their units are also the second-fastest of the sides, and are primarily designed for flexibility and multiple purposes. However, overall their vehicle armour is very weak, the weakest of the four sides. To make up for that, they possess ample stealth technology, allowing them to make sneaky hit-and-run attacks on enemy groups.
Tactics:
- Hit-and-run
- Sneak attacks
- Avoiding detection
Special technologies:
- Basic vehicle chassis that can upgrade with several unique weapons
- Stealth generators
- Infantry has 'stalk' ability, making them invisible but slower
Strengths:
- Stealth
- Modular upgradability
- Speed
Weaknesses:
- Weak armour
- Reliance on power
- Folds to brute force and massed armies

Consortium of Stripes - Batallion V
Species: Tiger
Home planet: Pediadis IV
Faction colour: purple
Overview:
For anyone liking the feeling of strength and raw power, this is definitely a side to consider. Even their basic tank is more powerful than the heavy tank of the other sides, and their plasma-based weaponry can seriously put the hurt on anything that comes their way. However, their units are very slow and especially unmaneuvrable, and not particularly long-ranged. A faster and smarter enemy can easily pick their units off from a distance, while they're unable to retaliate. However, when in range, the enemy is as good as toast, as their railgun weapons ensure that not even the fastest enemy will escape their claws.
Tactics:
- Sustained attack
- Frontline assault
- Overpowering units
Special technologies:
- Plasma-based weaponry
- Railguns
- Infantry is stealth when still
Strengths:
- Powerful units
- Weapons do lots of damage
Weaknesses:
- Slow units
- A lot of power and resources concentrated into one unit
Fighters of Vertian
Species: Wolf
Home planet: Vertian
Planet of operations: Vostayan
Faction colour: yellow
Overview:
China fans will feel right at home with the fighters. Their units are not flashy, not fast, not particularly strong or powerful. However the fighters are real pack hunters, and their strength lies primary in using their units in large groups. Not only is their strength significantly increased in groups, but the larger the group is, the more effective they become. In addition, their infantry gain additional abilities when they are promoted to veteran, and when fully promoted ('alpha') a single infantry unit is powerful enough to take on several enemy soldiers. More experienced soldiers also act as an inspiration to others nearby in battle, making them fight more effectively and survive longer than normal.
Tactics:
- Massed attacks
Special technologies:
- Mechanised units
- Low-tech weaponry
Strengths:
- Exceptional veteran abilities for infantry
- Hard to take out once organised
Weaknesses
- Not very fast
- Only effective in groups
- Vulnerable to hit and run or diversionary tactics
- No stealth technology
